Built because we couldn't find it either
Chapter 01
The problem
Set Money Studio started the way most good workshops do: out of frustration. We were working on a short film here in Australia and needed convincing prop money for a scene. The search came back empty.
Overseas suppliers shipped American-style notes that looked nothing like our currency. The few local options were thin, flat printouts that fell apart the moment a camera got close.
Chapter 02
The first run
After one reshoot too many, we made a decision: if quality Australian prop money didn't exist, we would make it ourselves.
That first print run was small, scrappy and obsessively detailed. Every edge, every tone, every serial number checked against reference material until the note read as Australian on camera and stayed unmistakably fictional in the hand.
Chapter 03
Today
What began as a one-off print run grew into a dedicated workshop in Sydney, supplying film, television, photography and display productions at scale.
Our mission is simple: no Australian production should have to compromise on its money props. We help filmmakers tell their stories with currency that convinces the lens, delivered at production scale, on time, every time.

Craftsmanship
Notes are printed on polymer at exact 1:1 sizing, colour-graded and hand-finished, so texture, weight and tone survive the closest inspection.
